Photographic reconstruction of a zone of the epidermis observed with the objective of 40x. In the microphotography are shown the epidermal cells, of irregular contour, between which there are numerous stomata and some pluricellular trichome. In the stomata, we can distinguish two guard cells leaving an orifice of communication with the exterior, the stomatal pore. Details of these structures appear at higher magnification in other microphotography (area framed in red)
