Complete section of the central vascular bundle of the leaf observed with the objective of 10x. It is a bicollateral bundle, since it shows an element of xylem between two elements of phloem (one above and the other below). In the part of the phloem we can distinguish the vascular elements (yellow) (of smaller caliber), as well as the elements of the parenchyma (of greater caliber). The same structures can be observed in the xylem, although in this case, the elements of the xylematic parenchyma and the vascular elements (of thicker red-stained cell walls) are radially arranged. Below the phloem appear some sclerenchyma fibers, identifiable by the thick cell wall
