Aspect of the epidermis and part of the cortex observed with the objective of 40x. We can view the layer of epidermal cells, showing some elongated pluricellular trichome (yellow). Underneath is placed a zone of subepidermal collenchyma, the chlorophyllous cortical parenchyma and a bundle of sclerenchyma fibers showing red-stained cell walls. Towards the interior of the stem appear great cells of the medullar parenchyma
