Photographic reconstruction of the intestine wall observed
with the objective of 10x. Going from outside inwards we can
see the following layers:
serous,
external
and
internal muscular,
submucous
and
mucous.
The last one contains numerous crypts of Lieberkühn in
contact with the
intestinal lumen.
Between both muscular layers we can notice some
nervous ganglia,
corresponding to the
Auerbach's plexus.
Details of the serous, muscular and mucous are observed at
higher magnification in other microphotographies (zones
framed in red, yellow, and blue, respectively)
